Yesterday I attempted to locate some non-sponsored YouTube users with highly viewed videos to see if I could get them promote something for me, but then I figured I needed to figure out how to create annotations on a video before asking someone else to do it.

Ok, so I have established that simply throwing a blog up and throwing some adsense and affiliate links on it does not a millionaire make, I didn’t figure it would, but that is where I am in the learning curve.  I’m trying to keep the electricity paid over here, so I’ve got to keep trying.  Something, anything has got to work.  Here is my current track:

Although it feels horribly slow, I plan to watch all of the project mom videos (they are free) because the direction fits my goals very well.  This guy is creating hands-off sites that will automatically pay his mom.  I am going to be doing it to automatically pay myself.  Feel free to join me… I’m just starting to watch through them. 

Well, I kept hearing this weird word, and being told I needed to create a Squidoo page.  I finally checked it out.

Squidoo is a free page site.  They call their pages “lenses”.

I’m overwhelmed.  I’m listening to too many gurus and am having to stop listening, take a step back and figure out what style of marketing I wish to pursue.

One guru is all about site authority, and once you have that, sell the site to someone who wants it because of its authority for $$$$, profit from the monetization of the site (it’s products and ads) is insignificant.

I decided to tweet.  I’m not much into social networking, but I’m working on it.

I’m hoping that my tweet might find a couple of people who are interested in the type of challenge I have created for myself, and people like that tend to know other people like that and so on.
