I got started with a job, got rather irritated by the spam comments, so turned off comments on most of my blogs and pretty much forgot about my various sites. I moved to yet another state, lost my job due to a hernia near the middle of July, and have been looking for an office job since.
Well, I kept hearing this weird word, and being told I needed to create a Squidoo page. I finally checked it out.
Squidoo is a free page site. They call their pages “lenses”.
I sent out a tweet in hopes of gaining some information for us about any money management, budget creation.
I’ll edit this post if I find anything besides what is created in the comments below.
I’m overwhelmed. I’m listening to too many gurus and am having to stop listening, take a step back and figure out what style of marketing I wish to pursue.
One guru is all about site authority, and once you have that, sell the site to someone who wants it because of its authority for $$$$, profit from the monetization of the site (it’s products and ads) is insignificant.
I’ve been off at http://wwww.oDesk.com, which is an outsourcing service where you can hire or be hired for contract work.
I’ve been getting lost in their testing. I think I might be addicted. Yeah, I’m addicted. These buttons all go to my profile.

Whoo hoo! This is my “drug”. Somewhere, somehow, I did something right. I am quite pleased.
I liked the look of the Get Some! 1.8 theme, but when adding pages to the site, the new pages were not showing up. There was one widget area. I switched to the Hybrid 0.6 theme, losing my widgets, but gaining links to the pages. See also
It appears there must have been sort of upgrade with my sitemap plugin, as when I first installed it on http://www.swapsjuggling.com it created a new page and did everything for me. Easy as pie.
However, when I installed it here at nsofi.org and on http://www.hydrophidian.com , a new page was not created, and I had to go through all the settings.
I don’t know much about SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Knowing how well my SEO is doing takes a degree of knowledge that I do not possess.
However, I have uncovered something helpful which gives me some degree of feedback.
The Thematic theme was beautiful in it’s crisp and clean way, but upon moving widgets, I found that if I went back into the widget area to change something, it would no longer appear in the sidebar of the editing area.
